Five of My Favorite Writing Websites

If there’s one thing that writers enjoy almost as much as writing, it’s reading about writing. There are a number of great websites out there that talk about the process, finding an agent, plotting, etc. Here are a few that I enjoy!

The Middle Grade Mafia – As a member of the “family” I admit I’m a bit biased, but it’s a great place to see interviews with authors, illustrators, agents and editors.

Janice Hardy’s Fiction University – There’s a TON of great material on this blog, everything from how to write a query, to character development. Janice Hardy provides it all – free! You should bookmark this site immediately.

Kidlit411 – This is a must if you write, or WANT to write, for kids. Not only do they have agent and author spotlights, but information about contests, formatting, legal resources, etc.

Inkygirl – Not only is this blog informative, it’s so much fun! Debbie Ridpath Ohi is the BOMB.

Elizabeth Spann Craig – Writers are so generous! I love it when successful writers share tips on how to make your writing better. Some of the recent posts on this blog include Working with a Cover Designer, Twitterific Writing Links, Working from Home as a Writer, and 10 Common Fiction Problems and How to Fix Them.

Take a look at them. I’m sure you’ll love them as much as I do.

Enjoy!
